About

Claire Kowalewski attended The Ruth Asawa Fine Arts high school in San Francisco and has continued on to The Pennsylvania Academy of The Fine Arts as a Caldwell scholar as well as the University of Pennsylvania to complete a coordinated Bachelors of Fine Arts in 2017.

Her work is heavily influenced by design and advertising, and the goal of illustrating the shared human experience through visual representations of things such as body language, expressions, or commonplace objects and places. Japanese design, in all senses of the word, has played a major role in growing her visual language.

Claire Kowalewski was born and raised in the San Francisco Bay Area. She is showing annually at the Williams McCall gallery, Miami.
